"Unsure"
|
I started a new course recently and we were given a question as part of the introductory assignment. I know it looks easy, but I've never encountered one like it before so I don't know how to approach it. Please help, I'm totally lost! Question:You are designing an office of 2ooo square metres. It has been decided that the area must be split into working and relaxation areas. The space required per person is 50 square metres and the vacant area is to be in units of 5 square metres. The cost associated with equipping a space is $20 per person and $4 per relaxation area. The total amount of money available is $1000. It is calculated that the return per person will be $90 while the return on the relaxation area $15. How many each of people and spaces should you allocate to maximise profit? How much will this profit be? Hint:Use a graph to calculate the profit. |
