There is an explanation there

https://www.cut-the-knot.org/blue/Cards.shtml

Just scroll down the page. Let me know if anything is unclear. Be specific.

At the very beginning or, subsequently, after pressing "Reset" you should think of a number below 100. As you can see, on every step, the applet displays a set of numbers. Press "Yes" if you see your number there; otherwise press "No". After several steps, the applet will announce what was the number you had in mind.

I tried this game, and on the second time I played, the result it gave me was: "Your number is 113".

The number I have thought of was 77. How am I supposed to understand such an answer?

Well, what matters is not only what you think but also what you do. If you always truthfully answered computer questions (yes/no) whether the number was present among the displayed, the computer would give you your number. If you pressed the buttons randomly, you tricked the computer. That's all.

If you made a mistake on the 3rd and 6th answers, it would give the number 113 instead of 77, because 77 is 1001101 and 113 is 1101001 in base 2. They differ in the 3rd and 6th digit (counting from right to left, which is the order you answer the questions).

Does that help?
