We are doing this thing at school where we have to make every number from 1 - 100 using only four 4's and exactly four 4's to make each number. For example, 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16. My teacher said that it is possible to make the number 1 using only one 4, and I hope that maybe someone can tell me how?
However, the result and its existence depend very much on what operations are allowed. You should ask your teacher exactly what operation could be used to express 1 with a single 4.
