It sounds beautiful. But I don't think I understand it. Even in 2-dimensional case. Say, x=0; y=0; 2*x+y-3=0. Point: (1,3). How do I perform substitution?

My case is 3-dimensional. Consequently, a line is represented by system of 2 equations.

Irina.
