Base (Binary, Decimal, etc.) Converter

The applet below embodies an expanded version of an older Binary converter. The novelty is twofold. First, one can choose the base to convert to or from at will. The available bases range from 2 through 36. Second, the numbers may now contain a fractional part.

The applet displays numbers in four bases simultaneously each of which, as was already mentioned can be selected in the range 2-36. There are four spinners to this end. Type in a number in the base of your choice and press Enter. The representaion of the entered number in other bases will appear in the three remaining text controls.
