I was amused a the speed at which answers were computed. I was under the impression that brute force calculation of the Shapley-Shubik power Index took a lot of time for large numbers of parties, even for a computer. Is there an algorithmic shortcut that is used in this applet? - Chris

Yes, of course. Just below the applet there is a link "A few words" that gives a short explanation of the algorithm. It was developed Peter Tannenbaum. There is a reference at the bottom of the linked page.
