"Math and creativity"

I read your manifesto and I must agree. I had a math professor in Greece (Themistocles M. Rassias) who really made me fall in love with math. One day he told the class, "Math requires creativity and intuition." I couldn't believe that! As an artist, I thought that was rubbish. I didn't know how wrong I was until I began to take more classes. If it took a long time for us to grasp a formula, he would tell us, "Don't worry, it took centuries for this formula to be developed. But try to understand how logic created it and then you never have to memorize it for a test. You can rebuild it anytime you need to..."
Even though he tried to kiss me and grab my butt on the last day of class, he taught me how to love math and changed my life forever.
