"please help with number guessing game"

I am a public speaking student at the University of Florida and would like to demonstrate the number guessing game to the class. However I don't understand the explanation to the game well enough to explain it. I was hoping someone else could help me understand the method behind the game. Thank you so much.

You'll have to be more specific than that. What is it you do not understand?
