"Global Consciousness Project and September 11 2001"

There is a study at https://noosphere.princeton.edu/terror.html which claims that analysis of random numbers generated continuously shows "a concentration of strong deviations around the major events of September 11". Some people believe that this demonstrates the workings of a "global consciousness" and the fact that everything in the world is interrelated.

Does anyone know whether the deviation of random number generation on September 11 can be scientifically validated and if the deviation was statistically significant?
