"Pythagorean Theorem and the Soul?"

My instructor has said he can prove we have a soul by using the Pythagorean Theorem. Any comments?

Well, under one condition: I wish to know your instructor's reaction,
OK?

You may ask him, why he needs the Pythagorean Theorem to prove we have souls. If we do not, what is this he was talking about?

Also, a proof only makes sense in a framework of an axiomatic system. What is his? What axioms does soul obey?

Ok, I have read both the PT and the Axiomatic System...(as for math and myself I got through college math with the help of a very kind and understanding instructor who knew I was not going to teach math so go out with a "C". Don't know if that was a help or hinderance) I understand neither. So if I am going to ask such a question of my instructor I should at least know what I am talking about and I just really wanted to know if it was true because these PHD's can stand up there and tell you anything they want just to see if you do your research and such. So I have read both on several sit's and seen several examples and I am just as lost as I ever was. OH well! Maybe he will make sense of it and I will pass it to you. Thanks for your reply.

In sky diving, why is a dead body fall faster than a living one?

Are you sure? Have you ever run an experiment on the same body? First dead and then alive?

Looks like maybe I started something.
Well all he did today was about right angles and such and I asked so where does that tell where the soul is. He said he would explain more later since we ran out of time.

Not a thing was mentioned about the soul today. We talked about haow the ancient philosophers Plato on down always wanted to know about the beginning...which went on to really mean how to establish a balance! Do you know of a forum that discusses philosophers? I am just lost. Maybe a group can make me understand because next we have to discuss Plato's system of knowledge.
