   If anyone could settle this difference of opinion between my husband and I, it would be appreciated.
What percentage is $10,000 of $185,000.00? very simple.

I think Alex (the owner of this site) hit the nail on the head. However, just to finish the elementary exercise, the answer to the query is 5.4 %
