"What is this type of circle geometry called?"

   Hi!

I've been trying to determine what this pattern of circles is called...i know it is sort of a Venn Diagram...but is that what it is? I understand a Venn Diagram is 3 or less circles, rather i'm developing an java applet, and i want to find a formula for drawing 10 circles!

Here is a nice example i've found which explains what i want to do better than i can explain! https://acm.uva.es/p/v105/10540.html

Thanks anyone who has any input!

-Josh

I have heard these shapes referred to as "rosettes" but that is I think perhaps too general a term. I do not know of any more specific name than that.
