How can you draw 2 parallel lines, so that they intersect?

By definition, two lines in the same plane are parallel if they do not intersect. "Intersecting parallel lines" is an oxymoron.

you need to be on a circle. Let's take the earth for example. the parallels have two intersections: one on each pole.

sam, based on the parallel line postulate, no parallel line can intersect.

ehm, well you cant really. but you can if you have four lines. actually, if you sort of curved the lines round so they are almost in a circle you can over lap them. so i guess that would be intersecting???? hope this helps

"How can you draw 2 parallel lines, so that they intersect?"
In this wording, it isn't stated that the line is a straight line.
It is possible to find some parallel curved lines intersecting one another.
For example, parallel hyperbolas : of course, the first branch (A1) of hyperbola (A) doesn't intersect the first branch (B1) of parallel hyperbola (B), but possibly intersect the second branch (B2).
