"geodesic domes"

How do you make the pattern of a complex geometry figure such as the icosahedron with a frequence 2 ? I am trying to build a geodesic dome and have already built one out of metal sticks but I would like to build one out of cardboard paper.

Now, what comes to mind?

  1. You can soak the cardboard in water and then wrap it around your existent model. Let it dry
  2. Look it up in Build your own polyhedra by P. Hilton and J. Pedersen, Addison-Wesley, 1994, p 80. There's so much more there, you'd be happy you got the book
  3. Check https://home.connexus.net.au/~robandfi/Stella.html#great - a fantasitc piece of software.
  4. Have it online: https://thesaurus.maths.org/dictionary/map/word/2786
