"cutting a 9x11 rectangle into a 10x10 square"

Hello. I was looking at this puzzle which allowed you to cut a 9x11 rectangle into a 10x10 square, link is https://www.cut-the-knot.org/pythagoras/tricky.shtml, and I believe I noticed an error. It would appear that when you make the staircase cut in the 9x11 rectangle. It appears that the outline of this staircase cut is you go over 1 square and then followed by traveling up 9/10 of the square. When shifting the cut off piece, this would make a 9 9/10 x 10 rectangle, not a 10 x 10 rectangle. Additionally, when moving the piece around in the applet, if you connect the piece perfectly in the 10 square, you notice a tiny iota of a gap that only fills 9/10 of the last square. Thank you

I must confess you got me. There is no denying it. Except, it was a deliberate attempt to make use of the technology. Of course there had to be something tricky. And you know why? Because numbers do not lie: after all, 99 ≠ 100!
