"Applets in Internet explorer 6.0???"
|
Hi I want to know how to enable the use of java applets in IE 6.0? I have visited this site several times at work. I was accessing it from my home computer and for some reason the internet explorer could not open/run the java applets. In place of the applets it just shows blank space with a small X sign in the corner (the way it appears when an image can't load) I tried to access the help in internet explorer to solve the problem but I couldn't find any solution to it. I have tried the microsoft website too but haven't found a solution. If someone knows how to enable java applets in Internet explorer 6 please...please let me know. Thank you Sameer |

The problem may be in that IE in Windows XP requires a Java plug-in. Make a search on Google for, say, "Java plug-in XP". It appears that Microsoft deliberately was not distributing Java on the XP platform. There's currently a court order that seems to address this issue. The file is about 7.5 MB. However, if you see Java applets from other sit's, the problem may be somewhere else. |

>I tried this and it'still didnt work.. Don't expect to solve this problem. I build myself my home pages with Java applets, and I only see them with Netscape.
I've tried IE5 IE 5.5 IE6 and NONE of then work properly. And I don't use Windows XP. I try ALL windows versions from Win98 above and NONE of them work. I think this appens because M$ and SUN have a long story of court rooms, and since M$ don't do with SUN what they ask to do with them (certefication), they'll descontinue J++ and create the .NET framework, wich is noting more than JRE with another "taste". |
