Hering's Illusion

As of 2018, Java plugins are not supported by any browsers (find out more). This Wolfram Demonstration, Hering Illusion, shows an item of the same or similar topic, but is different from the original Java applet, named 'HeringIllusion'. The originally given instructions may no longer correspond precisely.

Hering Illusion

Discovered in the 19th century by German physiologist Ewald Hering, it's a veritable classic now. Orbison illusion is one of its variants. Wundt illusion produces a similar, but inverted effect.
