Subject: Your website and three glass puzzle

From: Bill Graham

Dear Alex,

I am a 7th and 8th grade math teacher in Manhattan Beach, California. I also write a puzzle column for a local newspaper. It's a rainy Saturday morning and it seemed like a good time to write to tell you how much I enjoy your web page. A friend of mine turned me onto it. Great work! I haven't explored most of your site yet, but I solved your three-glass problem in six steps as I suppose other correspondents did. My solution is below.

I'm going to visit you regularly, I promise. Thanks for your effort and obvious love of math.

Regards, Bill
