Dear Nathan:
I would be happy to tell you about numbers that are not real but first we have to establish some common grounds. For, otherwise, I may start using terms that will rather confuse you than explain anything.
If you accept this premise, since you are talking about unreal numbers, I presume you know what numbers are real and in what sense. Right? Would you mind telling me what is a real number.
