Dear Math Person,

I need to find the answer to the following problem ASAP. There are no winnings or rewards attached; a friend of mine, with whom I taught, sent it to me and "dared" me to find the answer. I've tried seeing patterns, changing bases, adding, subtracting etc. I'm a Social Studies person. I'm *not* a Math person, though I like puzzels. Not this one, though.

You can't imagine how much I'd appreciate your help. I'll tell the world you're wonderful !?!

Thanks,
