Hello Alex:

Greetings from the caribbean (Trinidad).

I was on a search for "randomness in mathematics" this morning and came across this site for the first time.

I am currently reading Michael Talbot's book, "THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE." On page 44 he makes the point that "...mathematicians are unable to prove randomness..." Can you shed some light on this? How do you go about trying to prove (or disprove) randomness?
