The problem is impossible to solve. M.Gardner, "Mathematical Carnival", p57 refers to Harry Langman, Play Mathematics, 1962, pp 80-83.
The best one can do is to use labels 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,12 with the total on every line 24.
