I went out of my mind trying to figure out how to convert decimals to hex in Javascript. I came almost close to what you had explained, but I never thought of making a general implementation the way you have. (I eventually took the easy way out and looked for somebody elses hard work to appropriate; I came across your page, hope you dont mind. :-)
This page is very interesting. Thanks for putting it up.
A request: Is there any way to implement this using decimals? I would be interested in seeing what PI would be in other bases.
