On May 30, Amazon spammed its customers with advertisement of Norman
Finkelstein's virulently anti-Semitic book, Beyond Chutzpah: on the
Misuse
of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History. On April 4, in an unprecedented move, Amazon deleted all reviews of
Obadiah
Shoher's Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East
Conflict. A few days later, Amazon forced its subsidiary Booksurge to
terminate publishing contract with Shoher whose book is now only
available
for download from www.samsonblinded.info Google earlier banned
advertising
of the Samson Blinded for "unacceptable content."
Obadiah Shoher, an anonymous politician, abandons myths and moralizing
in
favor of realpolitik. He argues for raw efficiency of antiterrorist
operations and shedding liberal idealism. Shoher asks inconvenient
questions
and gives honest answers.
Oppose Amazon's censorship! Read the Samson Blinded

I do not know whether this message was spammed or was simply posted by an eager supporter of the book's author. There were just two identical posts.
The reason I have let this one through is that I feel strongly for Israel. I am in fact Israeli. The Jerusalem of Gold song has been played from http://www.cut-the-knot.org/sites.shtml from the very beginning. However I always kept politics out of the site.
Lats month I heard of the UK academic boycott of Israeli institutions which I found despicable. So I decided to make an exception to the rule and allow a small counterbalance as my contribution to the fray.
I have downloaded and looked into the book. There is much logic in the author's opinion. There is no virulence, although many would call the viewpoints extreme.
