After numerous hours of searching I am unable to find a simple proof of this theorem; not a 3D analogy, but an actual proof. Some sites I have visited have even said it was an axiom. Hopefully someone here can shed some light on the subject and tell me how, if possible, I can prove this theorem. Thanks in advance.
