On the first comment, it has to be possible. Think about it:
x^(10-x) has to have a maximum value. With it notated (x,x^(10-x)):
1,1
2,256
3,2187
4,4096
5,3125
6,1296
7,343
8,64
9,9
10,1
With 0<x<1, the value will always be between 0 and 1. Oh!!! Maybe this will help. X cannot be negative. With my original function,
x^(y-x), 0=<x=<y. I hope you guys can see where I'm going with this now...
